about bec

BEC Plastics were founded in 1994 by our current Managing Director, Eddie Gouther.

In 1996, due to expansion, BEC Plastics moved to our current location in Lenziemill Industrial Estate, Cumbernauld. During this period BEC purchased M&JServices, increasing staff and production capabilities.

In early 2001 BEC started an investment programme that resulted in the purchase and installation of a number of CNC machining centres.

In mid 2001 BEC introduced sealing products to the portfolio of products and services. After months of negotiations BEC and world sealing leaders KLINGER entered a partnership that allows BEC to manufacture and distribute KLINGER products.

Nov. 2001 saw the addition of graphite packing rings for valve stuffing boxes to our range of sealing products.

Due to our on-going commitment to re-invent and invest in our product range our staffing levels have steadily increased to 25.

In early 2007 BEC extended the production facility from 6000 sqft to 10000 sqft within the one group of bulidings.
In conjuntion with this expansion BEC purchased a further 4 CNC machines.
Also in early 2007 BEC underwent a management buy out. The three directors are Eddie Gouther (Managing Director), Colin Mckinnon (Operations Director) and Thomas Hamilton (Manufacturing Director).
With the recent changes the company will continue to grow and improve our overall service to our customer base.
Our extensive range of skills and experience are called upon by those who demand quality coupled with value for money, from small organisations to large multinational companies.
